What Is the HALO Laser Treatment?
HALO by Sciton is the first-ever hybrid fractional laser that delivers a skin resurfacing treatment safe for all skin types. The proprietary laser uses a non-ablative 1470 nm and an ablative 2940 nm wavelength to resurface the skin and reverse signs of aging. The 2940 nm wavelength targets skin surface imperfections to improve skin texture and shrink large pores.
The 1470 nm wavelength targets the deepest layer of the skin to reverse sun damage and pigmentation and stimulate collagen production. When used together, these wavelengths will create micro-injuries in the skin that encourage cellular renewal and skin cell regeneration.

What Happens During a HALO Treatment?
Before beginning the treatment, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to numb the planned treatment area. Then, we’ll glide the handpiece across your skin, delivering uniform laser energy to the treatment area. The device is equipped with motion tracking technology to ensure a uniform treatment. Patients should expect a warming sensation lasting 30 to 60 minutes after the treatment.
In the first one to two days after your treatment, you can expect a sandpaper-like texture to form on the surface of your skin, which your skin will naturally shed within day four or five. This is normal and indicates that your skin cells are generating.
