Caring for Your Skin Post-Treatment
After your treatment is complete, your injector will provide you with a complete list of aftercare instructions. We will typically ask that you follow these directives for three days after your appointment. To ensure the best results, you should continue to avoid certain herbal supplements and anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications. We will also direct you to avoid excess sun exposure and wear an SPF of 30 or higher during the day, regardless of the forecast.
Additionally, you should avoid strenuous exercises that cause excessive sweating or your body temperature to increase after your appointment. You should also avoid heat sources like hot tubs and saunas. As the filler settles below your skin’s surface, you should avoid rubbing, massaging, and touching the areas. This will ensure that the filler remains in the optimal locations so that you get the best results.
